Hunger Relief

Even with the support of local and state nutritional programs, food banks, and other services, thousands of families still struggle to find consistent access to food and essential resources every week. Barriers, such as identification requirements, proof of eligibility or income, age, or residency requirements prevent those in need from receiving services.

Distribution Sites

Every Saturday 9:30am – 11:30am in Wilde Lake, Long Reach, and Oakland Mills.

This is where Columbia Community Care steps in. Our food pantries are open to any person who requests help, no questions asked. We serve people of all ages and backgrounds, and our grocery delivery service reaches those who are unable to visit an in-person distribution center.

Grocery Delivery

Delivery Service is available to all families in Howard County. Columbia Community Care does not ask for proof of need or identification.

Our sites are staffed entirely by volunteers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. They have taken the time, and heart, to get to know the people they serve, even working to stock requested specialty or favorite food items when possible. And, unlike typical food pantries, our sites give individuals the ability to select the items they need and prefer, rather than simply giving them a predetermined allocation.

Help Our Cause

Each and every day we rely on generous donors like you to help us continue our work around food insecurity, poverty, and hunger. You help us address inequities in education, health, and access to opportunities, resources and services.

Donate

Donations are used to purchase food and resources that we provide at our sites, for our delivery service.

Volunteer

Volunteers play a critical role in providing community assistance and delivering food and essentials to those in need throughout Howard County.
