CCC & the Community Ecology Institute have partnered and pulled funding and resources to plan, develop, create, and execute a community garden at CCC’s food pantry headquarters.
The garden will not only serve as a way to grow our own healthy produce right at our headquarters, but also bring gardening education to community members, CCC families, CCC volunteers, organizations, students, and young people.
Our partnership with CEI allows us to provide healthy foods to our families and educational services around healthy eating and gardening, which ultimately leads to a happier and healthier Howard County.
Volunteers will help us maintain the garden by watering, weeding, checking for critter activity, planting, harvesting, and anything else that needs to be done at the garden.
Experienced gardeners are preferred!
You may check in with the staff person running the pantry inside the building and gather any materials you may need. Please bring gardening gloves, sunscreen, hats, and water.
